Commercial Provider
Commercial API access is provided by Menacon Ltd, company number
17252141, registered in England and Wales, registered office
17 Rees Road, Larkhill, Salisbury, England, SP4 8FT.
The Regulated Plants Database project, UC Davis, UNU-INWEH,
contributors, funders, regulators, and source authorities are
not parties to Menacon's Enterprise API access terms.
Manual Access
Enterprise access is manually approved and token protected.
Pricing, quotas, support, renewal, payment, and access period
are handled by quote, invoice, payment link, access
confirmation, or separate agreement.
No self-serve billing or automatic subscription signup is
currently offered through this website.
No Legal Advice
The API is an informational reference tool only. It is not legal
advice, a legal opinion, a regulatory determination, or a
substitute for review by qualified counsel or the relevant
regulatory authority.
Customer Responsibility
Customers remain responsible for products, listings, sales,
shipping, customer communications, compliance workflow, legal
review, and final decisions.
Customers decide how to interpret API responses, including
whether to allow, block, delay, delist, restrict, escalate, or
manually review a product, listing, order, or shipment.
Data Limitations
The API reports records found in the current dataset. Plant
taxonomy, common names, jurisdiction boundaries, legal
classifications, source URLs, and regulatory materials can
change and may be incomplete, delayed, ambiguous, or outdated.
The API may produce false positives, false negatives, ambiguous
matches, incomplete source coverage, or stale results.
Source Evidence
Source URLs, authority names, classifications, notes, and source
metadata are provided for traceability only. Their inclusion
does not imply endorsement, approval, warranty, or verification
of a customer's products, listings, shipments, or compliance
decisions.
API Keys And Security
API keys are confidential credentials. Customers must keep keys
secure, limit access to authorized systems and personnel, and
must not share keys with third parties or embed them in public
client-side code.
Use Restrictions
Enterprise API responses may be used for approved operational
workflows such as catalog review, checkout controls,
fulfillment review, restricted-shipping logic, seller support,
customer-support records, and compliance audit records.
API responses must not be used to reconstruct, mirror, bulk
replicate, or create a substitute for the Regulated Plants
Database or a competing plant regulatory data product.
Privacy And Request Data
The API is designed for plant queries and destination
jurisdiction fields such as country and region/state/province.
Customers should not submit customer names, street addresses,
email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or other
unnecessary personal data.
See the Privacy notice
for information about account, contact, and API administration data.
Warranty And Liability
API access and responses are provided on an "as is" and "as
available" basis, without a guarantee that every regulated plant,
jurisdiction, law, classification, or source material will be
identified.
Menacon's full written terms include warranty disclaimers,
liability limits, indemnity terms, suspension rights, governing
law, and other contract provisions.
Full Written Terms
This public page is a summary only and is not the complete
Enterprise API contract. The full Enterprise API terms are
maintained separately for counsel review and customer access
confirmation. Menacon will provide the applicable written terms
before paid access is confirmed, and with any quote, invoice,
payment link, access confirmation, order form, or signed agreement.
Enterprise access is not active until Menacon approves the request,
issues written access terms, and provides an API token.
Questions about Enterprise API access or these terms can be sent
through the contact form.
